Do you have a favourite road?

Post » Fri Apr 16, 2010 10:12 am

As me and Sal were heading along the road from Skingrad to Kvatch, a thought occurred to me. I like this road. A lot of alchemy ingredients, most of which are perfect for my character, flax seeds, nightshade, peony seeds. He was going nuts collecting them all. There wasn't much in terms of hostiles, a few wolves and bandits, enough to give Sal some light practice, and nice views to go with it, until I reached Kvatch. Now I've travelled all over Cyrodil with various characters, but that road is my favourite.

Anybody else have a favourite road? Or am I just a little bit weird? :unsure2:

I personally love traveling to Bruma from the Imperial City the most, with Skingrad to Anvil the second most.

The road from IC to Skingrad is a favourite because of the nice woods. Not to mention the road from IC to Bruma, I like to ascend high up into the mountains :)

I've always enjoyed the road from Bruma to Chorrol. When the sun is coming down, it's a very pleasant walk under the towering pines. This reverie is interrupted occasionally by the odd Minotaur Lord swinging a big hammer, but other than that, it's nice! I explore this region a lot for my Steel Blue Entoloma fix.

I'm gonna agree, despite it being the vanilla road I travel least.

I have a tendency to like roads I've never found before. That have no name and seem only slightly travelled.

The road less traveled seems to peak my curiosity.

I also really like the road between Kvatch and Skingrad. Lots of alchemy ingredients and lovely scenery. And always a guard or two riding along the road to help me out should I need it.

I don't have a favorite road namely because none of them strike an interest in my surrounding.

My favourite road/path has to be the one that goes from Chorral to Bruma. Not the main one, but the one that winds through the Jeralls. Especially on a clear day where you can see everything.

I gotta say the road from Cheydinal to the imperial city is my favorite road.

I recently discovered the road from Frostcrag to Cheydinal. Very mountainous, then a dramatic descent and a beautiful lake, finally coming to the serene plateau area around Cheydinal with all the willow trees. But, then the bandits killed my white horse. (Now I especially hate that bandit camp and I always "cleanse" the camp when I'm in the area).

Number one is Skingrad to the Kvatch cutoff. Just because of all the flax flowers.

For scenery; the Orange Road. Waterfalls and a sweeping view of Niban Bay.

For action, the Red Ring road, or maybe the Yellow road. "Lions and bandits and bears; Oh my!".

For hardcoe action: the Green Road. "Can you say Minotaurs, Billy?"

The Orange Road (from Chorrol to Bruma). It has spectacular views, is almost devoid of enemies and is full of beautiful colors.

Road through the Jeralls, starting northwest of Bruma. I also like the main road from Leyawiin to the IC on the east side of the Niben.

I like the even more back routes between the two, those that can go on past frostcrag all the way to Chydinhel.

Yes this bit.

I always like it when I'm on top of a mountain and suddenly come across a little road, maybe with some steps or a bridge. Usually there's a camp nearby.

I accidentally found one at the "highest point in Oblivion" once. Those are the most fun little "roads" to be on.

Oh yea that's right. There's tons of flax plants and peoneys. Great for making restore magic and damage health potions.

The Orange road is my favourite, the trees are nice, and the colours and views are wonderful
Second favourite is the one behind the orange road, Goes between mountain and plains, and it as at the top of the province.
Then I'd say The Gold Road, thick jungly forests, beatiful gardens, and golden plains.

I love the road between Kvatch and Skingrad too! Especially because it's so lush, and full of life. As is the road from Chorrol to Imperial City, because of the Great Forest on one side, and White Gold Tower on the other. It's just so majestic. Plus, it was the first actual road I ever went on in the game.

My personal fav. has to be the road north of IC though. (Right under the Heartlands sign on the map). There's so much action going on there, Roxey Inn quest, Aleswell quest, etc.

Out of the proper roads marked on the map, my favourite is the one that leads to Leyawiin down the eastern side of the Niben, because of how remote it feels even though it's never really far from civilisation.

Mostly though, I like unmarked roads and trails. Especially the long east-west one deep in Nibenay that leads to the Ayleid ruin for the "Nothing You Can Possess" quest.
