first of all, this is a mod problem. My native language is Spanish; but there seems to be a problem with it. The mod list is this one:

But, when (in Steam options) I select Spanish language, after downloading the files Wrye Bash shows Update.esm like this:

As you see, Update.esm is underlined in red and you can read plugin is missing the string localization files. Master file. Active in download list. Also, when rebuilding the bashed patch, I get the following error:

? Update.esm: Update.esm: Could not locate Strings File 'Update_ENGLISH.DLSTRINGS'

And the game closes on startup, before the main menu appears.

But, if I select English language the esm file is no longer underlined and the game works perfectly.

Obviously I want the game (at least subtitles) in Spanish; and this didn't happen to me before.

Any help?

I wonder if this is related to using a mod that was created on the English version of the game......

Can you track down the specific mod? Another poster had to play his game in English due to the mods that were being used.

Sorry but, What are you referring to by saying to track down the specific mod?

Anyway, is there any way I can take the Spanish subtitles from the Skyrim folder, then using Steam to change language to English and then substitute the subtitles files?

It would solve my problem, I can play the game with English voices if I can have subtitles for better understand what people say.
