Looking for opinions on a new character.

I just put this in spoilers because some quest related stuff may be discussed in the answers.

Starting another character and looking for a few opinions/ideas.

I'm going to make a female Dumner character. If we used character classes then Paladin would be the closest fit. The skill part really has no surprises: One handed, heavy armor, restoration, smithing, and block, with some destruction (lightning only and then only verses undead, summoned, or Daedra .... basically things that shouldn't exist on Skyrim's plane). I just won't use spells on "normal" creatures or NPC's while RP'ing that her magic simply wont work on them.

Her outlook is much like a Vigilant of Stendarr's " an order of holy warriors who fight in the name of the divine Stendarr. Vigilants can be found journeying across Tamriel in their dedication to wiping out Daedra and any other "abominations" (such as vampire, werewolves, and witches)". She feels her lot in life is to fight the evil that others can not face. So things such as the civil war, bandit lairs, politics, wanted people (unless they are the type of things a Vigilant might go after) are just not the type of "work" she would look for. Those are all problems that can be settled by the local authorities and while maybe not beneath her, her skills need to be put to better use (in her mind anyway). Although if she is witness to something happening she will not ignore it.

Question 1: I'm undecided on if I want her to serve Stendarr or possibly Meridia. Stendarr seems like the first choice but from what little I've read about Meridia she seems like a fit as well.

I also don't picture her looting items just to sell them as a way of making money. I see her taking only the items she can use. If she takes anything else it will be to "donate" it to whichever temple she serves (basically dump it all in a safe container and not use it, the RP will be that these items were given to other worshipers - I'm only throwing it in a container so I can see how much I've "donated"). I can see her taking coins and gems (although never stealing - this includes no looking in urns) with perhaps half of the value going to her temple. Smithing will not be a way for her to make money either, any items smithed will be put in the "donation" chest.

Question 2: What have been other player experiences with minimal loot? I dont really see her needing a lot of money, I'm just wondering how poor she we be. Every other character I've created makes a good amount of money from looting.

Lastly, I dont picture her picking locks.

Question 3: Is there really anything I'd miss out on by having a character who cant open locks? Again this would be a first for me.

In case it matters for the answers, I'm on a PC and have all the DLC's.

Thanks,
