Fortify enchant potion crashes game

Post » Sun Jul 28, 2013 11:56 am

Hello,

Everytime I try to enchant using one of my super powerful fortify enchant potions I created with the alchemy glitch/exploit my game crashes. This has NEVER happened before. I've had several characters using this method and even my current character up to today. What has changed or happened? Any ideas anyone?

Can't say I've never heard of this.

I've not heard of this either but TBH using a glitch can have unexpected results at any time so you are probably stuck with the instability unless you have a save that is unaffected.

I may see if removing those potions does the trick. Weird enough I tried fast traveling to an area a couple times yesterday and the gave froze up once again. Don't know if this is related, but I have the 1.9 patch and dawn guard...the area where I traveled was near water, the water was flickering violently as I approached however I never made to the water to be submerged, so I don't think it's like previous glitch where getting into a body of water crashed the game.

If you have tried all possible solutions and the water glitch persist, and you get freezes here and there:

Go to recovery console and do step 3.Restore File System, and 4.Rebuild Database *

---------------------------------------------------------------

**

  • Re-install the main game with the patch, and re-install Dawnguard as well after that.
  • Load a save without having fortify potions.
  • Travel with that save to Dawnguard and see what happens.

---------------------------------------------------------------

* After that turn your PS3 off from behind if you have the fat model (switch 1 - 0).

If not after you have turned it off from the XMB - pull your power cord from behind and leave your console off for 1 hour.

Then insert the power cabel again turn it on and do the above suggestions.**
