Best Skyrim mods?

Post » Sun Jul 28, 2013 8:50 am

Hey guys! Regularly, I'm a an xbox user of Skyrim. However, recently I have finally been able to purchase a pc that can run skyrim and pc edition of the game. As I am relatively a noob to the pc version of Skyrim, I was wondering if anyone could recommend essential mods (such as texture packs, graphical enhancements etc. ) and any good TCs or any other generally fun mods. Thanks!

These are pretty much essential ..

BGS Topic http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1467323-relzwipz-unofficial-skyrim-patch-thread-34/

And depending on which DLCs you have, the associated Unofficial patches for those ..

BGS Topic http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1448682-relzwipz-unofficial-dawnguard-patch-thread-4/

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31083/? Unofficial Dragonborn Patch

BGS Topic http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1467847-relz-unofficial-dragonborn-patch-thread-4/

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25127/? Unofficial Hearthfire Patch

BGS Topic http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1465725-unofficial-hearthfire-patch-thread-3/

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31255/? Unofficial High Resolution Patch

BGS Topic http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1442344-relzwipz-unofficial-high-resolution-patch/

Have a look in the first post of the BGS topics, near the end of each you will find a link to see The Full Changelog ( what each of them fixes ) ..

Warning, Huuuuge lists to read  ( here's the USKP one http://www.iguanadons.net/Unofficial%20Skyrim%20Patch%20Version%20History.html )

Thats why I consider them essential. Not to mention they have a very experienced crew of developers behind them, and the whole community chips in with help on these.

Un-reservedly recommended over and above anything you can find out there.

http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37994/ has recently become an essential mod for me and many other users, with over 3000 endorsemants. The http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/forum/345-unofficial-skyrim-patches/ are also essential mods for anyone with Skyrim on the PC. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11163 and potentionally many other mods by http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/users/187943/?tb=mods&pUp=1 are also essential for myself and many others. I personally believe http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/users/2463371/?tb=mods&pUp=1 are essential for anyone's game, as they add to immersion in the game.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9557 Is something I'd also recommend, by http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/users/684492/?tb=mods&pUp=1, and many of his other mods.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19281 is also essential for me, as are the compatibility patches for other mods, such as http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/38563/?. Personally I believe it is the most extensive and complete overhaul available, but it is very specific in it's changes and thus other mods svck as http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286 and http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10037/? may be more fitting. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24377//? is another mod that may potentially fit your taste and is becoming increasingly popular. Though out of Requiem, SkyRE, Ace and Combat remastered, you should only pick one. ACE is modular, so you have quite a bit of flexability with what features you want to use, and thus more compatible with big gameplay changers.

http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29624/ is a wonderful mod, extending the character creation process. Essential to my game, and without doubt, many others. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12977/? adds quite alot of life to skyrim, and thus I also suggest it.

I also suggest http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24913; this mod adds lots of new content without going OTT, adding content that is completely lore breaking. And if you choose to use Requiem, there is a http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36096/? for it too. I also suggest http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/users/258945 stuff too, some of which are replacers, others adding new content.

Those are some mods I can think off via the top of my hat; I've got over 190 mods installed on my game doing a wide variety of things.

EDIT:

Oh, and some essential tools for your game, if you choose to dive into modding it: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6/?, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25859/and http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1840/?.

Also ninja'd by alt3nity @ offical patches stuff. :ninja:

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1462394-relz-skyui/.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35154/?...It takes a little getting used to figuring out how to move everything around, but it's worth it.

I refuse to use Skyrim's default fonts. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20773/?, I think it looks much, much better this way...EDIT: oops, gave the wrong link. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2596/?

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18466/?. I never realized how much this helped out until I installed this mod.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29624/?. More options is better, right? RIGHT?

That's about it for now, at least until I can dig a little deeper into my Nexus downloads.

EDIT...again: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21377/?
