Helios One glitch/bug

So, a few hours into the game I came across Helios One; and was given a cool quest about getting the solar powered weapon up and running. I had three choices, the way I see it:

1. Fix the thing and divert power to major cities.
2. Listen to the socialist Follower guy and divert power to all the little dirt-towns.
3. Kill all of the NCR troops outside of the plant.

Naturally I killed all the NCR troops. I mean, who wouldn't??

I got mission successful, xp and loot. I was basically a happy camper all the up until I got a mission from Camp Forlorn Hope. "Restoring Hope" I think the name is. Being a prosttute for xp and loot I accepted the mission and started towards (yes, you guessed it) Helios One where I was supposed to meet a contact who would lead me in the direction of some missing supply crates.

Well, I arrive at the mission location and to my let-down there is no-one there. I tried waiting several days, I tried staying there at different intervals; I tried it all. There is no contact to meet me there. Naturally I think this is due to the fact that I killed all of those NCR troops, but if this wasn't a glitch/bug then I would've gotten "Restoring Hope - failed" automatically when I did so; shouldn't I? As it is now, I have a mission in my mission log that is impossible to complete. Am I the only guy to whom this has happened to? And if the answer is "no", does anyone have any good solutions to the problem?

Yeah the person you are supposed to see is now dead.

The only thing I can thrink of is to try setting a map marker to fort hope and walking back there.

If I remember correctly the supplies are south west of fort hope. Maybe if you look around you might find the supplies. Although if the supplies only appear after talking to the helios 1 contact then you will just have to wait for a patch to maybe fix it.
