It may just be me, my age, and my habit of giving away anything I do not use even if I like it,.
Anything that is likely to be a collectors item ( i.e worthless to anyone but a fan, and even then only on release or after time is going to find another job..
Whether its a tea coster, or to pick my teeth with, then it'll get lost and only remembered about after years in a " I wonder who took it?" way.
So long answer shorter: you give Oblivion away or put it up for sell a coin is the last thing you're looking to find as.
A: you're a kid.
B: you're stretched for time and not bothered in chasing some knick knack down.
C: You're into computer games, if you dislike something or are bored with it you don't give a damn about knick knacks.
D: You're an advlt who suddenly realises all the stuff you collected is of little worth, and not likely to sell for much.
So you take the price on the game ( which is the only product that matters ), and toss anything else in the tip, or a younger reletive to enjoy.
