Need Recommendations

Can anyone recommend some other good PC games to help pass the time? C3 isn't filling my void anymore and it's getting kind of stale.

PC games please... and I'm not into indie games really.

List what you already have otherwise we'll end up doing what we did in that other thread and suggesting a big list of games of which the guy already played.

Here's what I have on Steam

I have already played

-Metro 2033
-Bioshock
-Bioshock 2
-Darksiders
-Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II

I also have these few physical copies which I have not played
- Starcraft II
- Dead Space 2

I really like the Bioshock series and am considering Infinite. Also considering Dead Island since it's on Humble Bundle right now.

Try out DayZ, it eats as much time as a glutton eats butter.

Get ready because here comes the library of the best games I′ve ever played of all types.

Must play:

- BlazBlue: Calamity trigger - 2D fighting game (the best of the best and with a full, hours long, story mode)
- F.E.A.R. 1 - FPS, action, horror (and if you enjoy it, the expansions. But NOT the sequels)
- Devil May Cry 4 - Hack and Slash
- Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005 version) - Arcade racing
- Painkiller: Hell and damnation - FPS
- Crysis 1/warhead (well of course) - FPS
- Grand Theft Auto San Andreas - TPS, Sandbox (is the GTA that balances freedom, realism and fun the best)

Highly recomended:

- Bioshock Infinite - FPS (in my opinion the only Bioshock that is worth playing)
- Guild Wars 2 - MMO (much better than WoW, no monthly fees)
- Strike Suit Zero - Space combat, Mecha pilot
- Strike Suit Infinite - Space combat, Mecha pilot (stand alone SSZ expansion, this is basically an arcade mode)- Starcraft 2 (since you already have it, play it, seriously) - RTS
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution - RPG, FPS/TPS, Stealth

- (if you like LOTR) Lord Of The Rings: Battle for the middle earth 1 and 2 - RTS

Must play when they come out:

- Strider 3 - 2D/3D platform, beat them up, arcade (it′s quite to describe, just look it up on youtube)
- Guilty Gear Xrd - 2D fighting game (almost exactly like BlazBlue)
- Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - Hack and Slash
- BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma - 2D fighting (Just like the 2o BlazBlue, Continuum Shift, they don′t want to release it for PC yet. But if they decide to release it for the "next gen" consoles it′ll sure as hell come out for PC too)

If and only IF you like challenging games:

- Touhou - Bullet hell
- Osu! - Musical game (Free game, you can download nearly infinite songs to play on it′s web and you can custom it′s skin however you want. Can′t really describe it so here goes a video:)

Note that old shooters like Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, Serious Sam and such wont be on the list because everyone knows them and should know that they must play them at least once in their life.

Also note that any modern shooters that you don′t see in the list are not there for the oposite reason - due to their extremly boring gameplay and/or lack of a Single Player that would make you pick them over CoD.

You need to be more specific. What genres? Multiplayer? Single player?

The list shows where you can find those games (at least). I only use GoG and Steam so I don't know if you can find those games in any other digital stores.
- Planescape Torment (GoG) - RPG
- Baldur's Gate 1&2 (GoG) - RPG
- Supreme Commander (Steam) - Strategy game with the best UI
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat (Steam) - Mix of FPS, RPG and open world
- S2: Silent Storm (GoG) - Strategy
- Thief series (Steam & GoG) - Stealth
- X-COM UFO Defense (Steam) - Strategy (You could try Open X-COM instead if you don't want to use a DOSBox or something like that. I don't know how stable/bug fixed that is though.)
- System Shock 2 (Steam & GoG) - Mix of horror and RPG
- Deus Ex (Steam & GoG) - RPG
- Nethack (Can be found here for free) - Roguelike RPG, dying once forces you to start a new game (unless you cheat)...and the game just happens to be very hard.

There are more games I would recommend but I think that's already a decent list.
