hi all.

I discovered *this* mod at the nexus.

Has anyone tried this mod?!

Skyrim through the eyes of a child - an alternate start

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/32420

--Looks to be where I load up an included save and begin the game there. no dragons, no main quest.

Well, I just wanted to roam around skyrim, anyway. look at the mod-generated scenery.

Might be a good way to introduce myself to the game.

what do you all think of this mod? This mod is *not* the "live another life" mod by Arthmoor! this is another mod.

thank you, freestone

I think its too bad that the vanilla children are basically the same body and face mesh, with the clothes and hair slapped on them that fits the gender they are supposed to represent.

And no, I never tried playing as a child(and wouldn't for the reason stated above).

Until someone takes the effort to make an actual facegen .TRI file for the kid head mesh (No, I don't mean trying to adapt the advlt head morphs to it and plunging all the kids right to the depths of the Uncanny Valley), kid playerchars are kinda pointless IMO.

Not to mention that to play as a kid and discuss the mod here the player would be invincible...

No i have no roleplaying ideas for a child just go out into draugr caves and i think that sticking to one/two person(s) (father/Mother) the whole game would be lame(at least for me), although it does gives us(me) a chance to roleplay since kid... now that i have to think about

That's great. I imagine it would be an unprecedented event. I mean for years we've only seen advlt sized clothes because up til now, there wasn't a child skeleton.

@MadCat221 - Its already been done, and it creeps me out.

As I said, it's a forced attempt to adapt the advlt head/tri file to look like a kid. The kid head mesh needs a kid tri file. It literally doesn't have any morph data.

An not to mention curfew an not been able to buy weapons besides a wooden sword or even lift the weapon unless its a dagger.

Edit: On topic though it would be a far better roleplay if you had a kid follower especially early on until you get a home because your house was destroyed at helgen so your homeless an trying to make ends meet.
