Hermaeus Mora and the Dragonborn

Post » Fri Aug 02, 2013 7:57 pm

I was playing Skyrim recently and played a mage character with the white eyes. I decided to do the Dragonborn questline and noticed that his eyes had turned black. I though that that would be too cool to be true, so I dismissed it as light or some bug. When I had finished the questline I saw that the eyes were again white. I later did the Discerning the Transmundane quest and noticed that the eyes were black again before I opened the Oghma Infinium. After reading it I turned off the computer and when I restarted it today I noticed that the eyes were white again in the same place (and same light). I also remember Neloth commenting on the eyes after doing Dragonborn. What could this mean? The influence of Herma? I also remember him saying something about being in my mind.

Yup. Quite interesting, I know.

Wow, you're right, this does seem too good to be true. I think there is a texture glitch that turns eyes black sometimes. Let us know if your eyes ever turn black while not doing a Hermaeus Mora quest.

I've had that happen once before, but I thought it was because of an eye mod I was using acting up, I certainly wasn't doing any Hermaeus Mora quests on that character.

Coincidence. And not intentional seeing as how your game is modded.

Hm. Never had any eye issues during my playthroughs, and I don't recall my character looking off during the course of Dragonborn, nor Mora's questline.

The Dragonborn isn't actually supposed to get black spots in the whites of the eyes so definitely a cool coincidence.
