Skyrim Perfomance monitor: My FPS was jumping alot

I ran the program to check how much ram output my game does so I can see if it was safe to download some texture packs and I noticed my FPS was all over the place heres a screen shot of the graph

I cant for the life of my figure out why it jumps so much can anyone help? Has me a bit worried

It depends what you were doing and where - my FPS jump just when turning around on one spot...

I loaded my save in the bannered mare and it was steady in there then walked out to the carriage near the stables and then exited the game it was jumping the moment i left the bannered mare it would go from 20 to upper 40's mostly 1 sec drops in frames if it helps I'm using a laptop its a Alienware M14x R1 series the GPU is a geforce 555m

I have lower framerates when people are speaking. I get stutters and sometimes small freezes when an NPC starts a dialog.

I have a crappy harddrive - going to get myself an SSD soon.

Maybe that is your situation too?
