So, I am starting a new DB character because I just got this game for the PC and I cannot decide which skillset I should adopt.

The axe-wielder uses war axes and battle axes as the primary means of dishing out damage, with a shield as a defense. Restoration is used for healing purposes. Enchanting is used to give my blades some flair.

The shaman uses Illusion, Conjuration (Atromancy and Bound Weapons), Restoration, Alteration (mage armor), Frost & Shock Destruction cloaks & runes, and 1H. Light Armor is a secondary skill.

Shaman.

But don't be a primitive dirty Shaman. Embrace your lord Hermaeus Mora, and he will make you untouchable.

Axes is where it's at. Especially if you're using Nordic Carved.

Axe man, but trying to level up both 1h and 2h would be a headache IMO. Would feel like you COULD be getting better at one or the other instead, and that would bother me. I like specialising.

Since shamans must learn how to transcend beyond the mortal plane, I figure that travelling to the realm of the Woodland Man is not outside his or her abilities.

Perhaps, though believe it or not, I have never made a 2H nor 1H + board build. I figured that I should make a character that is an all-around axe-aficionado.

Plus, I believe that the funnest character builds are those which offer several options.

This, plus Nord Hero gear, is the entire reason why I am flirting with this build.

I would say whatever h heck you want to use dude. This is your decision and you should chose whatever you want, and you can even combine both if you want to. Axe wielding shaman.
