Back in your own backyard bug?

Post » Sun Aug 04, 2013 2:28 am

So,Boone and I had already run across Nelson, not part of any quest, and cleared it out and taken care of the guys on the crosses. Later, I run across Milo and start the Back in your own backyard quest.

Problem is - there is no one to kill (ran across two legionaires back at the check point, killed them) - checked the town, the guard post on top of the hill overlooking the town, etc. I talk to Mile and he just says something about his gun, no conversation. The quest pointers are pointing to the NCR troops, who just say "Glad we took Nelson back"

Help!

Are you sure your just not talking to the right person?

I guess I can see where a glitch could occur, I would suggest checking YouTube on how the quest is supposed to advance as I hadn't done that one in quite a while.

If it is indeed a bug then first check the wiki for a solution(there usually a good answer or two there), if that's a no go obviously use console commands if your on a PC, if you can't do that then there's really only 2 other things to do-

1. Deal with it and accept that this specific quest ain't gonna work(can't remember if this is part of the main quest line)

2. Load an old save and deal with redoing some things to get back to where you currently are. It may seem like a lot of work but it usually isn't as big of a deal as it initially seems.
