Okay, everyone knows about the alchemy glitch where you can get fortify restoration up to like an infinite amount. I've been trying it and it does not work for me. It goes up to 34% then starts deteriorating from there. I have the helmet, braces, necklace, and ring with fortify alchemy. I make the potion, drink it, take off all my armor and put it back on. After the first time nothing changes. Does anyone have any advice?

-You might need to take the armour off before you drink the potion.

-If it still doesn't work maybe some patch happened somewhere but don't worry. I use it too and it still works for me, I'm fully patched. I do use more apparel than you though, you can use two head slot items if you equip a Falmer helm with a circlet.

You can also enchant Dunmer boots with fortify alchemy, requires Dragonborn.

Your Alchemy and Enchanting would ideally have to be at 100.

Not neccessary at all.

I find that it's not that hard to create apparel with a 35% boost to alchemy and from there I use the restoration potion glitch to achieve higher values.

With a bit of tweaking you can make potions of any strength you desire.

Are you on PC and using the unofficial patch? Someone here in the past day or so claimed that the patch removes the Alchemy-Restoration loop.

from another post I made:

"I found that with a minimum of 2 perks in "alchemist" 39 alchemy skill and a total +52% alchemy from enchanted apparel i was able to get past the treshold. it did require alot of ingredients for the potions though"

there's a treshold you must pass or the loop wont accumulate and continue

It's probably easier for vampire necromages like me as we get a boost to created potions, when drinking potions, to created enchantments and to worn enchantments.

it could be less then what I said, was hard to pinpoint exact numbers. the restoration skill probably matters too, and this character had 30 or so.
