Shoot a guy in the face, "must have been nothing"

Is there any mod that fixes this? It's extremely immersion breaking when you shoot someone with a bow from stealth and they just go back eating their apples with an arrow through their head..

How awesome would it be if when you shot someone with an arrow they just lay down, writhing and screaming and clutching at the body part?

There is a fix for what you describe, it's called lowering the difficulty, and perking archery and sneak.

"Lowering the difficulty" as a phrase scares badass dudes away, maybe instead of "lowering the difficulty" we could call it "fixing the game so dumb [censored] like this doesn't happen", would be a much more accurate description.

K... not very helpful to what the OP was asking.

Try http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16449/? if your looking for a standalone mod that mostly handles that. Also narrows the vision cone of NPC's to a more realistic level but also makes it easier to detect you in that cone of vision.

Not only that, it really does nothing to solve the actual problem.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12615/?, it does help. It's not perfect by any means, but at least it's something.

Ah, that would be good too. But if he misses it's also good to have a mod like mine to increase search times (that would increase the chances of him getting spotted) and to make the NPC "senses" a bit more realistic.

Oh, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5485/? also has a locational damage system built in. May want to check it out too.
