Fixing Faces

Post » Wed Aug 07, 2013 8:51 am

Yeah, I know, there's probably been a thousand threads on this already. Sorry. x_x

Anyway, I play on the 360, and just bought Oblivion (again, had it once, some time ago XD) and I want to know how to fix the faces to look less...awkward. (Again, I play on the 360, No Mod option)

I hear some people say to just randomize until you get something you like and work with that but...XD

I know sometimes you move one slider slightly and the whole face will balloon or whatever. x_x

Err .. time and patience , and don't get obsessive about faces , its whats within that counts :)

The randomizer can help though , I also hear some people make saves so if they get into a corner they can get out of them.

Oh, I know. XD I just don't want a character that looks permanently shocked/startled. xD

It takes some practice. You can't expect to master the process quickly.

The best advice is to experiment, and learn what the sliders all do. Move them a little at a time. They are linked together, and you need to learn what happens when you move the sliders. There are some tricks, like you can get rid of some of the blotchiness by tinkering with the forehead slider. Also, moving the age slider a little bit can cause an abrupt change, but sometimes it will "click" into a better overall appearance.

I find that some of the simplest changes work best. For example, I find that the random button tends to almost always set the nose bridge too high for my taste. Sometimes you can get a great face just by hitting random until you get a pleasant shaped face (regardless of age), then adjust the age slider, and alter just the nose and mouth a little bit.

I don't think a lot can be done , I mean even mods cant go far to solve the problem . Also I think facial expressions change in-game depending on the disposition you character has to the person they are engaging or in combat or completely random , but that's not to be unexpected is it ? Hair goes a long way for me too , its the biggest factor to any character creation for me .

Just take your time , slide those sliders like theyre rusted over , tell me how you get along

Your khajjit ( I presume its your khajjit) looks pretty good , from skyrim though , which used different creation .

True. Practice makes perfect.

I didn't know that about the forehead slider. Huh. o_o Thanks for letting me know.

OBS: That isn't my khajiit. I got that off the internet. XD

Just found something through another game forum where another person posted a photobucket where someone made a few nice faces on the 360, and posted the sliders and positions for each one as well. Very pleased with this. XD I'll still try to do it on my own, but this will help for now.
