Im making a Warlock and I was wondering if theres an item I could wield in place of my shield. Like a wand or something. I just dont think shields are very Warlock like.

Well, you can hold a torch in that hand. That's about it.

I would just go with a staff, I think. It's two-hand, but you can block with it if you have to, and it ought to be in character.

Extra magic + you can effectively block with it.
