Hello,
I'm using Skyrim Mod Organizer, SKSE, Skyrim Community Uncapper, and Skyrim Redone (SkyRe). This has caused some complexity regarding the SKSE-folder, which now exists in three places:
1. As recommended by the http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_Installation#tab=Hacks, I've extracted the http://skse.silverlock.org/ into the vanilla Skyrim folder (alongside TESV.exe). I've also created "Skyrim\Data\SKSE\skse.ini" and added the recommended statements to the ini.
Skyrim\Data\SKSE\ currently contains:
- SKSE.ini
- Plugins\SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.dll
- Plugins\SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.ini
2. I've installed Skyrim Mod Organizer, which sets up an alternate file system for Skyrim. I've also installed the Skyrim Community Uncapper using the Mod Organizer.
ModOrganizer\mods\Skyrim -Community- Uncapper\SKSE currently contains:
- SKSE.ini
- Plugins\SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.dll
- Plugins\SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.ini
3. I've installed SkyRe using the Mod Organizer. It includes yet another SKSE-folder.
ModOrganizer\mods\T3nd0s Skyrim Redone\SKSE currently contains:
- Plugins\SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.ini
Two questions:
1. When launching SKSE via the Skyrim Mod Organizer (as I always do), does it read the SKSE.ini file from "Skyrim\Data\SKSE\" or from "ModOrganizer\mods\Skyrim -Community- Uncapper\SKSE"? The main SKSE-files such as the skse_loader.exe are located in the vanilla file structure, so perhaps SKSE.ini must be there as well, or does the Mod Organizer handle it? Basically, can I delete SKSE.ini from either vanilla or Mod Organizer? The same question applies to the duplicate "SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.dll".
2. What about the duplicate "SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.ini" files; is the one in "ModOrganizer\mods\Skyrim -Community- Uncapper\SKSE\Plugins" or the one in "ModOrganizer\mods\T3nd0s Skyrim Redone\SKSE" the "actual" one? I assume that the one in SkyRe is the one being used, but would like to be certain. The Uncapper doesn't appear in the load order, after all.
What I basically want is to remove or disable unnecessary INI-files, so that I don't end up editing ones that aren't being used.
Thanks for your time.
