Dragonbone Weapons In Loot

Post » Thu Aug 08, 2013 11:06 pm

Hey guys, just a very quick couple of questions.

This mod (title) basically adds dragonbone weapons to the levelled list, so that it can be lootable (rather than vanilla where you can only craft them). I'm just wondering, since it only adds to the levelled list, and does not relevel or delevel anything from the list, then would it run properly without being in the "levelled list" category in bashed patch? Logically I think it's fine because mods with Delev and Relev tags gets bashed for compatibility, but this one simply adds new items to the list and nothing else.

I'm asking because the author made it slightly rarer than Daedric, and so it's pretty hard to find a piece. Without being able to check ingame (and not knowing how to mod!) I don't know if it's in the list and is being distributed or not.

The other thing is, if the item is in levelled list, does that mean merchants may also be able to stock them? Or is that a different list?

Yes, it doesn't need any Bash tag.
When the Bashed Patch is built, it lists (after the tagged mods) all merged lists. It should appear in this list somewhere.
Whether merchants stock them depends on which lists the mod author added the weapons to. There are lots of levelled lists in the game, not just one - cheap loot, advanced loot, advanced Dwemer loot, and so on. Almost everything where there's a chance of one of several item/creature/NPC/encounter/whatever appearing, a levelled list is used. So if the mod author added the weapons to the lists of merchants (or only some of them), they may appear there.

Alright cheers. I wonder if anyone could have a look at the mod and see what lists the author added to? I have a suspicion it is only the list where Daedric items are also listed. It's supposed to appear at lvl50 with enchanted versions at lvl51 (with progressively better enchantments).

so, why don't you have a look yourself? Tes5edit isn't that complicated to use if all you want to do is have a look at things

I can't look at it in detail, as I don't have Dawnguard.
