another stupid question, I finally have enough gold to buy a shack so I can store my stuff, but its totally empty and I cant find anyone that sells a crate/box etc. can anyone tell me if I can even buy a crate?

You might look in Stantus Varrid's house or in an Orc named Luronk. You are looking for little receipts good for delivery of furniture. If you take them and go home, the furniture will be delivered.
