Trying to Delete Dawnguard and Dragonborn

Post » Sat Aug 10, 2013 9:16 pm

Hey everybody, for various reasons, I'm trying to delete Dawnguard and Dragonborn so that I can replay the two questlines. However, if I try to save, the game hangs. Anybody know of a way to do this without having that happen?

Edit: Sorry, this should go into the hardware/software issues forum.

Do not remove them.

Clean Saves Aren't. The only truly clean save is one made before the mod in question was even installed.

Even BGS recommends against yanking out modules.

Think of it this way... Would you, right now while your computer is on, yank out the video card?

Did you create a save file before your first dlc playthrough?

How do you replay the questline? Are you making a new character or still on the same?

I could do that in Oblivion, but I guess it doesn't work in Skyrim. Then I guess I'll have to find a different way of solving my vampirism bug.

@ShadowTitan:

Same character. It's become fairly apparent my idea won't work.

Start a new character. It's the only way. Unless you want to corrupt your current character's save beyond fixing.

Never remove a DLC during a character's playthrough, ever. And if you do remove it. Never re-load a character whose data contains said DLC until said DLC is re-activated.

I wouldn't worry about that one. I have a good 100 saves on him.
