» Sun Aug 11, 2013 11:34 am I have run smack-dab into a repeatable CTD/lockup issue in my latest game. Need help with it as it's absolutely maddening - a random CTD is one thing that can be written off to "Skyrim Sorcery", but a consistent bug in the same spot points at something that can at least in theory be fixed, but I have been unsuccessful so far.
Problem: when I travel past Hollyfrost Farm (last farm in front of Windhelm) going towards Traitor's Post or Boethiah's shrine, I experience a CTD or a typical Skyrim choke/freeze (everything stops, no controls are working, the only cure is to alt-tab out and kill TESV.exe). This happens when I ride a horse or walk, whether I have a follower with me or not. I like to think that I am pretty conservative in terms of mods I have installed (list below), I have very little that changes the core game behaviors, it's mostly new armors and retexes.

As you can see it's mostly new armors and character customization options.
The Papyrus logs contain the usual unhelpful spam. One thing that is semiconsistent (with the emphasis on semi, I've been troubleshooting for the better part of the morning and I see it every other time maybe):

The message varies but it's always some sort of Papyrus pissing and moaning about MQ106BurialMoundScript.OnUpdate() in one fashion or another. The only thing that overrides that script in my pile of mods, AFAIK, is the USKP. Then again it may just be a red herring.
Unfortunately, everyone's beloved solution "uninstall all mods and see if it helps" does not help here because my saves just won't load or load buggily. I haven't added or removed much since I started the game, the only thing that I added that isn't a new armor recipe since the start is the Inconsequential NPCs mod.
I tried pulling out some likely suspects - i.e. improved distant LODs (suspected my video card may be choking?) - no joy. Other than this spot, AFAIK, the game has been relatively stable since the beginning.
I'm completely out of ideas at this point, so here's the obligatory: HALP PLOX!?!?!?!?!?!?!
