stutteringhiccup

Every 30 seconds or so, my fps drops to 58 or 59 and I get an annoying stutter. I have tried mmessig with the Nvidia control settings specifically the vsync but it hasn't helped the issue. Anyone know what to do to fix this? My graphics card is a gtx 670 and cpu is an I7 processor.

NVidia Adaptive VSync is great in this situation.

Above 60 fps it enables vsync, effectively clamping your fps @ 60.

Below 60 fps (presumably a temporary situation) it disables vsync for performance...

Wish I had a 670!

Looking at a GTX 760 though, if availability improves in the near future.

Note: with traditional vsync enabled, it's a bad thing if your frames ever fall below 60 fps.

Instead of falling to 59 they'll fall to 30 fps...

Dunno if this is your situation or not - but I get no stutter at all (ever) using the NVidia adaptive.

Thanks for the reply Gryphon. My problem even with adaptive vsync, is that even when the frame goes down one or two I get a larger stutter. I tried lowering the object detail to low on Skyrim and it helped a bit. It happens indoors and out.
