I recently bought the legendary edition for PS3, and i heard that with this newer version, some glitches were fixed. Is the Arcwind Point WoP glitch fixed as well?

Sorry for making such a useless thread, but i couldn't find the answer to this question anywhere.

Just reload a save before you got sent to that Word of Power. Or go to Northwind Summit and collect the word there. Some say it fixes it.

The LE has the exact same patch as the regular game. The only difference is that it has all DLC and a different cover art.

If it's one of the most common bugs, then why hasn't it been fixed yet?

Why haven't a lot of infuriating bugs been fixed yet? There's no logical answer for that question since they chose to use time to disable exploits rather than fix known bugs.

Arcwind Point has no Word of Power unless Dawnguard is installed...

And I've never encountered (or even heard of) any glitches.

If you get sent by the Greybeards to Arcwind Point to collect a WoP, the misc quest will never clear after you get the word.

Easy enough to fix on PC
(Yeah we're lucky) but probably the Unofficial patch has corrected it anyway.
But what, do you figure the glitch has occurred because of poor integration between the main game and the DLC?
Silly errors like that are a shame.

And the fact that i have a glitched quest in my list isn't as annoying as the fact that you can't ask the Greybeards for more WoP's because you can't finish the previous quest they gave you.

I always assumed they'd make this glitch a priority to fix considering most people use this method to find words of power, and when i look at the list of fixed glitches, all i see are optional quests hardly anyone cares about.

What causes the glitch is the fact that one of the words of power you can learn from a Shout added in the Dawnguard DLC is the same word as one of the Shouts from the vanilla game. When you learn the word of power from Arcwind Point, the game recognizes it as the words from the vanilla game rather than the word from the Dawnguard DLC. Because the game sees it as an old word rather than an entirely new one, it won't register the quest as completed, making it impossible to complete.
