Comprehensive guide for hearthfire

So I decided to pop for all the DLC and have the new Hearthfire add-on. I built the first little house near Falkreach and loved it! Great location, get to kill the occasional giant and my new spouse (the blacksmith from Riften) apparently brought his "business" with him and pays me daily from the business (I was worried that I'd lose that income if I relocated him).

Then I read the home builder's guide and am trying to make sure I understand. Is this correct: you get to add only 3 more wings after the main house is done. So for instance, I can't have an armory, kitchen AND library because they are all East wing add-ons. So I'd have to pick one of those for THAT WING. Correct?

I also see that on the builder's bench in each room, I have lots of options for shelves, containers, etc. Does that mean I can keep adding each of those items to fill my house? Or at some point, do I lose options for those items (like something else is in it's place now).

I actually built the bedroom (west wing) addition but then thought I needed to reload because I really want the enchanter's tower. I THINK that in the main house, if I build a double bed and two twin beds, it will make bedrooms for myself and my to-be-determined kids I will adopt. Is that correct thinking? If so, I wouldn't need the bedroom addition.

I just want to make sure my understanding is correct before I reload and start over the the additions.

yes, you have to choose one for THAT wing

Nope, you won't lose options. every option on that table will be present till you build it adding it to your house

yes, those beds in the upstairs of the main-hall do work like that, you don't need the bedroom wing

This here.

Build the wings that would suit your character. One of my old characters was a smith. So had his armory, and alchemy table, and I forget what the other wing was.

You'll never lose any options for furnishing or adding items to any room in the house. Even if you remove a workbench from a room and decide later that you want to build something that haven't yet, you can set the workbench back up again to build.

If you want to adopt, the only other thing you'll have to build upstairs in the Main Hall, besides the beds, is the dresser for the kids to put things in.
