Raider

I'm looking into making a 'Raider' character. This character will act a lot like current raiders only I still kill raiders.

I will be:

-Addicted to chems.

-Avoiding Settlements.

-Only Small Guns.

-Can't put points into Barter/Speech.

-Wear Raider like clothes.

-Can only choose violent perks.

-Cannot fast travel.

-Attack EVERYONE on site.

What do you all think? Any tips to improve this? Help appreciated.

Also, where could I set up a good base? Somewhere that's safe to store things and no respawing enemies.

Sounds interesting, I once had a playthrough similar to yours, except that my raider preferred leather armor and was drinking only whiskey. He was DiD and unfortunately didn't last very long, although he wasn't killed directly in combat but because he missed some baby-carriage trap. Anyways, I think you're on a good way on creating a raider-like character. My guy used Smith Casey's garage as his hideout, there's a bed, a few safe containers and he never found out what is 'under the garage'.

Look for Relay tower KX-B8-11 in the North East quadrant of the map. It's radio signal will lead you to an underground bunker. Any of those bunkers I suppose would be pretty cool to post in. My last raider type character used the hunting rifle and the samurai's sword from Mothership Zeta. I had the samurai helmet and wore the raider blast master armor..

question: do you intend to stay addicted to chems? because, i would think that you would kill every doctor you walked up to. also, do you intend to do any of the side quests or main quest, for that matter..considering you're staying away from settlements and plan to merc everyone breathing. lol

My character's also playing DiD. I'll use Smith Casey's Garage as 1 of my many posts, I might choose more than 1 location.

I won't be doing any of the DLC, although I will be traveling to Point Lookout at some point to maybe make a base there. (I LOVE Point Lookout, let's hope my character does too)

I'm not too sure about being addicted at all, I'll be different from other raiders as I plan on killing raiders. Quests probably won't be done unless they benefit the evilness of my character. I will choose that perk that allows you to collect an ear or finger from each good character killed for some extra caps, the people who give you the caps for the ears/fingers are the only people who won't be killed.

So with the addiction I've not yet decided fully on what I'm actually going to be doing there as you've raised a valid point. I suppose if I decide to become addicted then I'll stay addicted.

Steal. Most definately steal. Go into places like the super duper mart right off, and get to the pharmacy to fuel your addiction.

Stealing will be happening a lot. I've even thought about disguising myself so I'm able to blow Megaton, I'm still thinking whether or not this would be realistic for my playthrough.

Maybe in your backstory or just near the beginning, go into megaton while you're still somewhat sane, get incredibly drunk or high, and be thrown out, then want to just blow everyone to hell for what they did to you?
