i'm sorry if this has already been asked, but what are some of the ways you delt with lydia in skyrim when she would run out in front of you when you would try to do a stealth kill or during battle?

i sacraficed her to boethiah.

Me: "Lydia Can you stand by the edge of the cliff."
Lydia: "As you wish my thane"
Me: "Wuld Nah Ke... Ahhh!!! [censored] I was meant to use Unrelenting Force" *Splat* *Reload save*

<15 seconds later>

Me: "Lydia Can you stand by the edge of the cliff."
Lydia: "As you wish my thane"
Me: *Scrolls down favourites and selects Unrelenting force* "Fus Ro Daaaah!!!"
Lydia: *falling* "Once more and I'm going to have to ki" *splat*
Me: "Bye Bye Lydia."

Gave her to Delphine's faction the first time through and promptly regretted it. Never again. Probably marry her on my current character.

I just don't use her as a follower.....

was she carrying anything you wanted to keep??

if yes then you also said bye bye it as well.

After my first play through I simply never used her again. Some people may like her but I find herpresence endlessly annoying. Everything she does and says pisses me off.
I actually avoid the companions as well(on my latest 3 characters that is) because I simply find them corny and they really make me hate Skyrim. So NO Lydia and NO companions/ fighters guild and my life goes by much easier.

I have never even talked to her after my very first playthrough.

She's been standing in that castle since late november 2011.

I either don't use her for stealth characters, or just give her muffle enchanted boots. If she's in the way, I just open her command function and tell her to move somewhere else. That or stare at her until she eventually backs up. Rather simple.

Funny. I thought I was the only one who left her in Dragonsreach.

When I first learned she was so popular, it immediately made me do the opposite and avoid her completely. I even purposely avoided using Breezehome as my first home.... I've never been one to go with the crowd that does the "popular" things in video games or even in real life...

My first home were the rooms at the College.

I still use the apprentice quarters for a lot of new characters, but instead of moving to the Archmage's quarters I later lived in Vlindrell manor in Markath and after Hearthfire I've lived in Lakeview with all my high-level characters. I really like Lakeview.

I either pawn her off on Delphine; constantly torture her by stealing her chair, acting like I'm done with it, and then sitting in it right before she does; using her like a guinea pig for any new spells (read: constantly casting Paralyze on her dumb ass); or, oh yeah, using Fury to test out new followers by seeing how quickly they beat her within an inch of her life...

She "walked in the way" of my arrows....

leave her ass in dragonreach/breezehome... if that doesnt work, send her off to the blades
