For some reason I can't paste pics, and I have no menu options to attach anything. Anyone know what's up with that?

You can't upload/attach pics to posts on the forums.

You have to upload them elsewhere and link to them. The ability to paste them to the forum was presumably disabled because people were uploading insanely big pics that took ages to load and left you having to scroll ages just to get past them. Same reason images in sigs aren't allowed.

You can only link them.

Didn't know that. All for the better I suppose.

I guess it's also used to stop pormographic pictures from popping up.

Imgur is good place. Really easy to post pics from your phone too.
