No hardcoe Achievement..

Post » Sun Apr 18, 2010 1:35 pm

Like the topic title says, I turned hardcoe mode on as soon as I had the option and I just finished No Gods No Masters on Normal difficulty while never opening the settings menu. I had a total of 50+ hours of gameplay and was hoping to get my achievement today...Is there any sort of fix for this or am I going to have to play the entire game again?

ouch!!!!! 50+ hours of gameplay, i have 20+ hours and ill be so p***ed

the achievement might be bugged like they where in splintercell cv, and an update came out a month later that unlocked all the bugged acheivements

or

are you certain you have finished? it should come up with a bloke narrating all the characters and what they are doing now etc

With all the serious bugs and glitches in this game I'm surprised no one came across this sooner. Did you have any problems with game freezes, corrupt saves, or other game-breakers? If you didn't then you could try restarting. If you have then I would just say screw it and wait for an update to see if that fixes anything. Good show putting this on the forums, it is another glitch that needs to be brought to attention.

As a precaution, after you've accepted hardcoe Mode (after talking with Doc Mitchell), do not toggle the hardcoe Mode issue in your settings. I'm told if you toggle it at all -- even if you leave it on after leaving the settings menu, it can disable the achievement.

As far as glitches go I only ran into one in the Great Khan's Canyon where the shadows floated but that happened a few times in FO3, as for me toggling it off I never opened the settings menu at all, also my girlfriend who I live with never touches the console and I don't think she would know how to start up NV in the first place (lol) so I know for a fact it wasn't toggled off.

**Edit** I did get the ending narration, I
Spoiler
killed General Oliver and his Veterans,
the cutscene played, and I got the achievement for the last quest.
