Khajiit related to the dragon race?

Post » Wed Aug 14, 2013 12:50 am

You are, but the thing that matters here is in-game lore, and there is nothing at the moment to support even a possibility of that. Until the developers come out with a book you can read in the games that theorises on something along these lines, it can only be head-canon.

but they aren`t.. even if they are related to the ka po`Tun, that does not make them related to Dragons.. not ALL the Akaviri races are related to Dragons...

Alkosh =/= Akatosh, just like Akatosh =/= equal Auri-El

ahh, the infamous "I have information you guys don't" argument...

OP, you're wrong on all accounts. Mysterious Akavir states that "Ka Po' Tun is the 'Tiger-Dragon's Empire'. The cat-folk here are ruled by the divine Tosh Raka, the Tiger-Dragon." They are not dragons themselves or even related to dragons. It tells us the Tsaesci "managed to enslave the Red Dragons, but the black ones had fled to (then) Po Tun." The dragons of Akavir simply migrated into Po Tun territory to flee the snakes. The cats of Akavir aren't dragons themselves, but "since that time the cat-folk have tried to become the Dragons. Tosh Raka is the first to succeed."

The only relationship between the Khajiit and the Ka Po' Tun is the fact that they are both feline in nature. That's it. You could just as much claim that Orcs are dragons because they have green skin and some dragons are green.

The article about Alkosh just says that the Khajiit think that dragons are just "really big cats". I don't see how that builds a connection between them.

I can see where someone can make a connection between Khajiit and Ka Po' Tun, they ARE very similar in appearance, and even the text states that it's not Impossible that they could be related "It is unknown to what extent they are similar or related to the Khajiit."

That doesn't mean it's "Not a possibility", it being unknown means no fact can be stated out of it, It's out in the sea of possibility that they ARE related, or they AREN'T. Neither is confirmed, so let us just stop Bashing Jylag-gro-burgok for Suggesting the possibility

I'd actually like to be informed on this, Are other Cultures different interpretations & names of the Gods not based off of the same single Entity? Only Azurah in the Khajiit Pantheon is stated to be a separate Entity to Azura the Daedric prince.

Is S'rendarr not Stendarr?

Khenarthi not Kynereth?

Merrunz not Mehrunes Dagon?

Or go to the extent and say Mara isn't Mara? (Khajiit didn't even bother to change that name)

I did realize that. I also realized that your theory is just a bunch of nonsense that doesn't fit in the existing lore. Saying "it's just a theory" doesn't excuse you from providing evidence and argument. My statement that Bosmer are ogres in disguise is a theory too. It doesn't mean anything until you back it up.
