Fallout 3 sound clippingminor sound stutter.

Hi!

I have issues with fallout 3 related to sounds, I have come to believe I have an engine conflict when it comes to

handling different sounds at the same time. Like gunfire, footsteps, explosions and generic background sounds together with radio songs.

At times when I have a lot of mobs ie heavy fighting it can even crash the game.

I have installed k-lite basic and configured it to use lav filters associated ogg, wav, mp3 with windows media player.

I made following changes to my ini file as follows:

iAudioCacheSize=8192
iMaxSizeForCachedSound=290

I have a soundblaster x-fi 5.1 pro using headphones or a simple 2.0 stereo.

I have lost my wits on what else I can do to improve it.

Lower sound buffer seems to make it worse or have no positive effects.

I do have a heavily modded game, but except for the sound issues it is as stable as one can wish no real issues.

My fps is good, decent loading times when I enter a house, speedtravel and so on.

Would someone be able to come with some ideas?

Slowly loosing my sanity here.
