The ever-present Gildergreen bug...

This bug has kind of driven me crazy for some time now, and I'm sure most are familiar with it.

The quest - "The Blessings of Nature" - STILL has the bug where choosing the 'sapling' option at the end (ie, the GOOD choice) doesn't quite execute properly.

Rather than the old & withered Gildergreen disappearing and being replaced by the new sapling, the old husk remains and the sapling begins growing inside it - eventually resulting in the sapling's branches clipping through the old Gildergreen's trunk.

Choosing the other option (ie, the BAD choice) does execute properly - resulting in a newly blooming Gildergreen - but, for RP reasons, I have never been able to justify my morally conscious characters sacrificing innocent lives as well as incurring the wrath of Kyne.

I understand that this is not necessarily a 'game-breaking' bug, seeing as the quest does finish regardless of the option chosen, but these kinds of bugs really start to grate on me - and this isn't the only one.

I have no idea if anything will even come of me posting this - it's by no means a new bug - and I'm concerned that the outlook for future updates remains rather grey/uncertain, but I'd love to see things like this actually get fixed. It shouldn't be that difficult.

*Disclaimer*: I am on XBOX 360, and thus 'Unofficial' Patches & mods are out of the question.

Yeah, it's always bothered me, too. Shame they never patched it. If they patched this and the facial animation bugs that were introduced by the last official patch, I'd be pretty much content with the game. Doesn't look too likely though, unfortunately.
