Strange Noises

Post » Fri Aug 16, 2013 2:01 pm

PC player here.

I'm having a minor, if annoying, problem. I've been playing a single save for about a week now and decided to load up an older one. Ever since I've been hearing a persistent "rumbling" every ten seconds or so. It's short, and sounds a lot like the noise the clocks from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (if that helps) make every time a minute passes. Also, it only occurs outside of menus. Whenever I bring up the inventory, the sound stops, but resumes once I close it. The sound persists in any other save I load.

Any ideas as to why this is going on?

What mods do you have?

Majora's Mask was one of my favorite games (personally I think it is better than OoT), so I know what you mean by your example

Actually, now that I think about it, it may have something to do with the idle replacer. I'll have to do some tests.
Oh, Majora's Mask is also my baby. I love OoT, but love MM more. :D

Welp, managed to fix it with Wrye Bash, but I never did find out what was causing it. I dunno if I'll be able to prevent it in the future.

At the very least I won't go insane from hearing/expecting the noise.
