I am pretty new to Skyrim.. My bf got me into it. It looks very fun and it's beautiful on my asus but I have come across an issue really early into playing. I'm at the part where the blonde fella cuts my wrist ties, I believe we're escaping, and it goes into third person POV. I prefer first person but the F key doesn't seem to work. It will zoom in on my character but quickly zoom back out to third person.

I realize that by this time the game should have enough info on these bugs but I guess I'm not looking in the right places. Good old bf is helping but his advice hasn't worked, such as reloading with an earlier save or binding the hotkey to another key. He said my version of the game has this glitch, the camera problem, but by now shouldn't there be a patch? Oh my PC version is legendary with the extra stuff.. I'm quite stuck. I don't like third person at all. Am I supposed to restart my laptop or will it still get stuck at the part where the guy cuts my wrist ties? I will try restarting my laptop though.

Please help.

There is a force first or third person line in the INI or Prefs file, I am out of town so I can't check which one.

Try swapping the mouse or updating your keyboard drivers. If this is a new problem, then save or mod issues could be the culprit.

However, the first thing to do is to load either the earliest save you have, or start a new character to see if it has the same issue. If so, then, do you have any mods, in particular one that changes the camera?
