Hello community! Excitement awaits ,
behold a thread for all readers/writers and lore lovers! A treasure trove awaits!
In all seriousness , I extend warm salutations to all most esteemed vistors and , If you so wish , members , of the revived bookclub . After talking to some members , and doing a little digging , I discovered something of this ilk indeed existed before , with great success! But unforutnatly some spats between a few members meant the popular saga died
My thanks to Renee Gade , I think we can both say its a shame such a brilliant community thread became extinct , so without too much waffling , welcome to the bookclub .
A few little things then .
So , after talking it over , it seems the biggest dispute was whether the bookclub should go beyond Cyrodill into other games . I think , to avoid this problem , at least for the medium-term , lets keep this within oblivion!
Second , one member suggests one book / note /scroll / even an inscription on a stone tablet , daedric/ other non - cyrodillic text , providing you give a link to a converting link , is acceptable!
Third , one member suggests one book , they can suggest a time period anywhere between two to seven days to read this text , all members MUST respect that persons wishes , even if for some reason they cannot read that text in said period
Fourth , when the time period is used up , the person wh hosted that book must announce they are ready to discuss ( if within 24 hour period after end of period , they have not replied , other members move on) , then members will discuss until it comes to a "natural conclusion"
Finally , fifth , The host of the last book will choose who should next host a book , if you want to host a book make this clear! I ( and community) expect fair picking , so that everybody can have a turn
If , for some reason , you no longer cannot/do not want to host a book , make this clear ASAP , and another member will be picked
~~~
I hope everybody is happy with these rules , if anybody has any suggestions please say!
So , this is the first session of the renewed bookclub! I think we should start with an easy read , one which will not take too much time , and is a favourite , looking through the list , I have decided upon a fictional title
