haven't played in a long time and completely forgot how to delete old saves on pc.

In the game main menu, hold down the Shift key and then click on a save to delete it.

Alternatively, you can just delete them in Windows. The files are stored in the My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves folder.

ETA - this assumes you're playing the PC version.
