:brokencomputer: I wont give up! But I sure would like to know what causes Oblivion to crash no matter how good a computer is. Why is that???
If spending more money on better parts doesn't work, what will???

Did you try deleting the Oblivion.ini file in My Documents>My Games>Oblivion. And you might want to disable Crossfire for this game, it really doesnt like it.

Yes it is. I have installed the game in it's own folder but it's still on the C drive. Not in the progtams folder though.

Delete the ini file? Why? Are you able to play the game ok on your rig? Do you think an SSD HDD will improve on the crash issue?

Thanks for the very fast replies!

Since this has been such a nagging issue with both Morrowind and Oblivion. Do you guys think we should ask the Devs at Bethesda to address the issue for Skyrim so we don't have to go through more years of frustration waiting for patches and system tweak suggestions?

Maybe we can start a dedicated thread to be able to follow questions and response easier??? Wadaya think?

You delete the ini to force Oblivion to create a new one. It's quite possible that Oblivion has mistaken your graphics card for an old NVidia 5000 series card.

I seriously doubt that throwing more money at it will fix the problem. Oblivion doesn't need an SSD; this is an old game.

Just one of your vid cards will easily max this game, and Oblivion doesn't really care for multi card setups. (some have success, others.... do not.) Keep in mind, oblivion came out quite some time ago... before multi card video was mainstream.

So, try running on just one, and see if stability doesn't improve.
