Is there any good early storage room? I have materials and miscellanous items that i dont want to sell because i will use them later but i havent reached the point were i could buy a house

Outside Ysolda's house, there's this small chest between barrels that never respawns.

There are two barrels outside of the inn in Dawnstar near the steps against the wall. The one closest to the road is completely safe. It's where I store all the items I steal from the khajit chest.

What I like most about this is that it is in a city and not way off in no mans land. You can sell your armor/weapons to the smith, potions and ingredients to the alchemist, and everything else to the Khajit when they are in town. Plus, there is an enchanting table two doors down if you want to enchant or disenchant something.

There is always Helgen. The end table and wardrobe in the Tavern are safe to store (be careful as the ruined town becomes a bandit camp). Another one is the Alchemist's Shack that is SSW of Ivarstead (just the end table is safe).

I always use Anise's Cabin.

This^ It's a perfect home until you can get something bigger.
