Hi all,

Hopefully someone can help. I've been running Windows 8 for about 6 months now with no problems and have finally decided to revisit Morrowind and Oblivion.

I have no problems running Morrowind, however have come across a bizarre issue with Oblivion - no matter which resolution I choose (my display is 1920x1080 native) with the mode set to Fullscreen, Oblivion plays in Windowed Mode. The intro logos play in fullscreen but when I get to the main menu and beyond i have a nasty Window box with title bar around my screen. I have tried setting it to windowed mode (just in case the setting was reverse for some reason) but this didn't make a difference.

I have :

- installed Oblivion outside of the Program Files directory (In C:\games)

- tried running as administrator

- tried running in XP compatibility mode

- removed the oblivion.ini file and let it recreate

- checked in the oblivion.ini file that bFull Screen=1

My PC specs are i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, NVidia Geoforce GTX 580, Benq 22" 1920x1080 HDMI monitor

I'm at a loss as to what the issue is, Oblivion works fine other that the Window box (I can't stand playing games in Windowed mode)

Does anyone have any ideas
