I have all the official DLC and one of the adopted kids brought a pet home. Which got me to wondering what pets can I bring home? Is it just limited to dogs like Meeko & Vigilence? I was kind of hoping to be able to get a Death Hound of my very own. They look like they would make the ultimate guard dog.

Only Meeko and Vigilance, the Huskies from Dawnguard, and the pets from that kids bring home in HF like a Mudcrab, Skeever, and Fox.

If your on pc an install the druid essentials mod you can get any animal as a pet from foxes to mammoths that will also help you fight an at one point I had 2 mammoths 3 foxes 4 deer 12 wolves 4 bears an 20 sabre cats an 2 elk an 1 solitary horker.

Stray Dogs can also be adopted, although you cannot re-name them, so it seems kinda weird to have a pet named "Stray Dog"!
