Hey guys, looking for help because I'm struggling here. I've done most of the main side-quests (Thieve's Guild, Mages, Dark Brotherhood) and just have the Story to do. I'm playing on XBOX and was trying for the Land Baron and Master Architect achievements, but I can't get Siddgeir to talk to me. I have recieved a letter from him, so have it as an objective to talk to him, but when I do I only have 2 dialogue options available, both of which I've used, and when I stop speaking to him the objective marker is still above his head.

I'm aware of the Rare Gifts radiant mission, however I am not on this - I know for certain because I have actually obtained the quest for Aldis after trying to speak to Siddgeir multiple times (have yet to find the copy and finish that now, but still).

Can anyone tell me anything about this? Is there any other way around... like killing Siddgeir (I've been trying to play without murdering people, but I really don't like him). If he is dead will someone else be appointed Jarl?

Did you kill his housecarl. the guy in scaled armour.
if you did then you cant buy lakeview manor. I dont know if it stops you from becoming thane though.

It does. No thane without the console, and since this is on an X-Box....
