Left shoulder visible with idle bow, first person

Tonight I developed a sudden quirk involving seeing the shoulder of my bow arm when standing idle with the bow equipped (but not drawn) in first person, when I look down towards the ground.

First off, I've never played with FOV before, and the only ini tweaks I ever used were the ways to get the construction set to run with the DLCs. I happened to have a bow in my hand, looked down, and I see my giant left shoulder there in first person, staring back at me. At first I went a little nuts thinking it had always been there and I never noticed it before (same thing happened when the lip sync nastiness that began after the last patch, too), but then I realized it must be bugging me because it's new.

I reloaded a previous save and the issue was still there. I reloaded another character and I still saw it. I did some forum hunting tonight, found some references to:

1) weight sliders (no luck there, even in completely emaciated form I can see my now scrawny shoulder)

2) FOV tweaks (ensured my default was still 65, which it was, then went through different values and could still see it even in various zooms)

3) ini tweaks and trying to reset by deleting my ini (did that, no luck other than having to retweak my graphic settings until I put my saved copies back)

The only thing I suspect that was a cause was, a few minutes before I noticed it, I was shooting at a bear and my kill-cam went a little weird. I fired my first shot normally, then for my second shot when it went into kill-cam I could see my character just standing there, not loading his bow, and the bow was off in his left hand with the string pulled back in a V shape even though he wasn't actively holding it (kind of like when you kill a bandit as they fire a bow and the bow string freezes in the drawn position while it's on the ground). When it went back out of kill-cam, with a very alive and still angry bear, my bow was still frozen in the draw position in both first and third person. Drawing and shooting another arrow fixed it, but then a few minutes later I notice my shoulder was very present when holding the bow and I began to wonder if the kill-cam didn't somehow mess something up, permanently, in Skyrim itself. Other weapons appear normal, just my bow shoulder, in any armor or none, seems more present than normal.

And as I say, this seems persistent in all my characters, so it's not a save-specific corruption. Anyone have any clues?
