Being asked to leave?

Post » Sat Aug 24, 2013 3:56 am

Guys!

I need help.

I just started playing Skyrim.

I followed Ralof out of Helgen and I was introduced to her sister, Gerdur.

Then blah blah.

After a while, I killed Hilde, the one living with Sven.

After that, whenever I want to sleep at Gerdur's house, there is a notice that "You can't sleep when being asked to leave"

Why is that? Is it because I killed Hilde?

most likely yes since you most likely have about 1,000 gold bounty or more on your head.

You killed a member of their community. That, no doubt, incurred a bounty. I'd say they are all rather upset.

Another question.

I killed Sven in their house, no one is watching.

But suddenly when I go out, Alvor and others go after me.

Hilde was Sven's Mother, and an innocent citizen. I'm not surprised they are going after you. You also killed Sven? If you have no bounty it's a glitch.

There is no bounty when I looked at the Crime panel.

But when I go out, all of the Riverwood people are after me.

Oh boy, more mindless NPC killn' and yet another case where they aren't prepared to deal with the consequences of their actions.

Sorry bud but you screwed that one up all by your self. Gonna have to pay your bounty or find somewhere else to sleep. If there is no bounty then deal with your actions and keep it movin' to another town.

Then it would seem you have a glitch in your game. If you have a save prior to killing Sven and Hilde, I would use it, if I were you. Not sure what else you can do to fix it. If you're on a pc, you might ask someone in that sub-forum. If you are on ps3 or xbox, only a previous save will help you.

Because they can and one of the reasons Bethesda marked major quest-related characters as essential, was to prevent these guys fubar their game.

Why are people chiding someone for killing NPCs?

Isn't this a role playing game? What if the character you are playing is a psychopathic murderer? Or just a careless barbarian?

Don't like seeing people being told what the appropriate way to play their own game is.

Speaking of myself, I have absolutely no problem with that. If the game allows you to proceed the 'x' action and want to do it, by all means, do it.

even back in the middle ages where the elder scrolls is set in there where laws against murder. :bonk:

so it does make sense not to go all out in killing npc's and not pay a heavy bounty if you don't. :stare:

You're welcome. And when you're about to kill someone -anyone- make sure it's a stealth kill and nobody else is around to catch you in the act :)
