Is this because this is the one bit of lore that by its very nature; invalidates all other lore. Does nothing else seem important, when it can be CHIMed away?

I wouldn't necessarily say that CHIM invalidates all other lore.
Then again, I am far from an expert on the subject, so perhaps you are correct.
Amaranth is the vary purpose of the Aurbis, and CHIM is a way to achieve it so... yeah it's kinda one of the most important things in all the lore. It is also a very obscure subject, which makes discussing it even better
*waits for the next person to CHIMe in with a Vivec avatar*
(couldn't resist)
I'm not saying CHIM isn't important, I'm pointing out that is seems to erase the need to discuss other lore, because it can just change that lore making it important as a Scrib.
Why?? I don't remember either Vivec or Tiber using CHIM to change lore with the exception of transforming Cyrodiil into it's current incarnation. It's outside of character for them to do it thanks to CHIM own nature.
Off topic: Two guys answer to the topic with a Vehk avatar.... interesting [NUMINIT]
I don't know, Just seems to bethat way? I'm probably wrong.
