I've been a fan of Crysis since the beginning. Played Crysis and Warhead like a madman, played some Crysis wars. Then C2 came out. I was disappointed at the apparent changes made to game to be a console game. C'mon Crytek with Crysis you had the best scifi high realism tac shooter that no other company had come close to making, you don't need consoles. They will only drag you down.
Those were my general thoughts with C2, but I did love how the story evolved. It became a deeper more interesting story without going into the realm of hokey or cliche.
So I had a long hiatus from Crysis since then. Thankfully I found C3 on sale and decided to buy it.
Now all I have to say is thanks Crytek for bringing more life into this game series. Many of those elements that were unique to the 1st are back. This game is beautiful, the controls smooth and near flawless, and I can tell the creative effort that has gone into it.
From this fan I hope any further Crysis projects are approached with what your company has gained over the years, and with those early unique and inspiring visions that led to making the first Crysis. Feel free to ditch the consoles, those fans will not stick with you like your PC fans... Yeah I'm a little biased.
In summary to Crytek: I love the game, stay creative, never adhere to the lower standards of trends, bring back even more sandbox elements and bullet physics, like travel time and the like.
That is all from this hobo for now. I'll be on MP from time to time, don't care what all of the haters and "the game is dead" people say.
