Ideas and questions about Orc RP

Post » Sat Aug 24, 2013 2:48 pm

I feel this is an interesting race to RP.

So far for rules i have:
No thievery under the code of malacath
fight with honor (meaning no stealth archery)
live in an Orc stronghold (this will be fun :D)
Orcish armor

Im going 2 handed, and do the orcs use any particular weapons? I will eventually most likely use Volendrunf because Malacath has chosen to bestow his weapon down upon me (and the awesome enchant) but for now i feel I like greatswords the most.

Dual wield orcish war axes and also use an orcish battleaxe

I've done a few Orc characters like that too and it can be a fun RP. Since it sounds like you will be their main protector too it will give you a wide area to explore around the home so you won't get bored as fast.

Right now am playing an Orc who is more of a barbarian warrior who uses all weapons but once he comes across orcish weapons and armors he makes sure to keep them in his inventory for use.

Good point on the no stealth archery. My warrior characters in previous Elder Scrolls games always considered that a cowardly way to fight. The archery in SKYRIM is so much fun and immersive I totally forgot I considered it cowardly. I have to get back into just using the skill for hunting food :D I wonder how Dunmer taste?

Same thing with using a shield. I used to charge into battle with only my weapons in hand and let bodies fall where they may. With shield bashing being so much fun in SKYRIM I will have to show restraint. Maybe I should be playing an Imperial or Nord instead of an Orc :bonk:

Yes my Orc doesn't believe in thievery either. There are enough dungeons to loot and evil doers to slay to not be slaughtering civilians for a mere bauble.

My Orc is a solitary sort so living in a orc fortress would not be to his liking unless he was the only one living there. SO GET THE OBLIVION OUT OF THERE! YE SONS OF MOSSY MOISTLESS MOTHERS!

I also tried something like this and went with light armor.

I based by build on the Dothraki horde from Game of Thrones.

Light armor seems out of character for a orc. I would use a Great Warhammer to smash opponents' heads in. Orc see, orc smash.

Don't dissapoint Malacath, Orsimer.

Anyway, I got this idea aswell, but I am gonna save it for later.

There's this orcish warhammer called http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Longhammer. You may want to use that one before you get Volendrung.
