The Divide: Blaze through vs rest and recupe?

So I'm on like my 3rd playthrough and I'm currently doing Lonesome Road. I'm curious about other's strategy with this dlc. Do you guys/gals play it through start to finish, or do you take the occasional breather to resupply and rest?

I'm halfway through the dlc, and due to getting sloppy I got ambushed by a deathclaw then blundered into a frag mine, and I'm down to my last doc's bag. I'm nearly out of water, I'm low on medical supplies, and I don't have near enough flamer ammo or flashbangs for that push through the final tunnel.

I know that I can easily back off, head back to NV, and get fixed up and resupplied. However, there's a certain bent appeal to pushing through, finishing the dlc, and limping back dehydrated, hungry, and barely alive but victorious.

So how do you guys play Lonesome Road?

I usually fight through it,

I always play sneaky characters and due to that I was able to push through to the end without stopping

=if your one of those blast through everything people I suggest taking a break because the enemy's get *Very* Overwhelming

I only bail from LR unless I absolutely have to like if I have 1 health, all my limbs crippled, and I ran out of med supplies. But reading your situation I would probably get back to the Mojave, and there is no shame in that.

I save it for endgame and plow through, with the odd fast-travel back to the entrance to stow loot. It is nice to be able to enter and leave at any time, though; last time I played New Vegas I popped into LR right after leaving Goodsprings to grab the Arc Welder at level 1. I enjoy that weapon way too much :flamethrower:

Cool. I'm gonna try to fight through it tonight when I get home from the gym. If it gets too tough I'll take a step back and recupe, otherwise I'll try to rally my way to victory on my way to confront Tall-Dark-and-Insane.
