The Xbox 360 I bought last christmas has finally been set up with the new TV and since the only game I own is Skyrim I figured it would be a great opportunity to get back in to the game.

After rolling the standard cookie cutter warrior Nord, playing the viking stereotype got me bored in less than twenty minutes, most of my previous characters have been Nords anyway.

I have decided to go elf! And not just any elf - High Elf! The nemesis of every Nord, kidnapper of puppies and tormentor of old ladies.

Now I need ideas on how to elf about in Skyrim, my character is opposed to the dominion as he is from Cyrodiil where his family has lived ever since the Thalmor rose to power. He is a light armored warrior, skilled with greatswords and bows.

Would it be right to go through the whole Companions questline? I'm thinking of steering towards the College later on when I've learned to properly aim with the [censored] controller.

Play an Altmer barbarian.

Sure, why not. Individuality is more important in TES than racial inclination and Altmer hunters/ bowmen/ warriors are certainly not unheard of.

The companions seems like a good choice for such a character, the tales of glory and such would appeal to him.
