What things (besides Bugs) do you think could be improved on or changed for the next Elder Scrolls game?
1. Combat: Yeah it's better than Oblivion but still light years away from something like Demon or Dark Souls and 3rd person is still a joke and handles like a quadriplegic when compared to something like Demon Souls.
2. Followers: You know if this had of been 2004 I'd would of said you get an E for effort for a first try, but it's not it's obvious this was thrown together just because with little effort as player made followers from Oblivion were done better. You did a little better with Serana, but most had the personality of a wet noodle I'd rather have 3-4 followers with a personality than 20 boring ones. Really need to step up your game on this one might want to take a page from Bioware and ad Follower interactions and allow more than 1.
3. Textures: There's just no excuses for this other than laziness when a moding community can improve these in less than a week, you're not going to have the low powered consoles excuse next time either
4. The whole marriage thing: Poorly poorly done even more so than the followers. Seems it was done just to stroke it off a check list and nothing more, as the old saying goes if your not going to do something right don't do it at all. You could of at least added some benefit like having them as a follower if they weren't before.
5. Grittiness: This is more of a preferably preference but you could take some notes from the Witcher and Dragon age series(more so the Witcher) you seem to be Gritty on one hand than try and do a mother shielding with the other. Either go all in or pull out because it just seem weird, hell even BG 1 & 2 had Brothels people being Tortured and Courtesans walking the street.
6. Dumbed down Skills and Attributes: Yeah just don't, the whole broader appeal and causal gamer argument has been disproved 6 ways from Sunday, I like having more customization.
7. More than One way to complete Quests: You seem to actually do this better in Morrowind on top of being more enthralling, there are very few chances to betray ad certain quests like curing vampireism was handled IMO much better.
8. Restrictions & Factions: This once again is more of a preferably preference but once again you did it better in Morrowind and adds replay value, climbing to the top of one latter should;d stop you from climbing to the top of a other and cause you to have to complete different quests in different ways and handle thing differently. Doesn't make too much sense that the Arch-Mage would climb the ranks of the Companions and they would let spell caster take control. Having one Faction should hinder another.
9. Unfinished quests: Yeah don't be lazy and just finished them or at least have the decency to take them out completely. I mean you could at least finish them in a patch or DLC, this is equivalent to a guy building you furniture and leaving his half finished work behind.
10. Voice Acting: Way better than oblivion but still needs work the accents are all over the place.
11. Unkillable NPCs: Yeah I know why you did it but it does really boil down to laziness you could of had essential NPC not immune to say just your damage.
12. Level Scaling: Once again poorly done, can't think of much else to say other than you need to work on it.
