Interesting role-playing ideas?

Post » Tue Aug 27, 2013 6:06 am

I've done nearly every possible character build going, ranging from magic, archery to melee and everything in between, but there are limitless possible role-playing ideas. What are some more unique ones people have to share?

How would that work exactly? What would you do as per the role-play, or not do even?

I think a Khajiit Caravan Guard/Merchant build sounds interesting, but it sounds difficult to do within vanilla Skyrim. You could pull it off if you had the PC version, modded for multiple companions, and then got every Khajiit follower you could find.

Make a challenging RP.

Ex: Play as the Master Chef. Your only weapons are the fork and the knife, your only armor are the chef's tunic and chef's hat, and you can only heal yourself with food, usually made by yourself.

^^ That is dependant on you. I did a Road guard in Vanilla Oblivion.

IDK about unique but I have alot of fun with my werewolf Mercenary. He's not squishy out of beast form, but much much more powerful in. 2h greatsword, heavy, archery, smithing... speech and restoration ( for his horse ). Because the majority of his fighting is IN beast form, that lvl's alot faster. ( all the bounties are done in beast form, svcks no looting, but that's the RP).

There is a fork? I know there are kitchen knives, but forks? Really? Where? I actually thought about a chef build.

I would love to play as a Khajiit caravan. How would I do it though?

Well, I suppose it would be feasible. I could be a Khajiit coming to Skyrim to form a caravan? Simply get a Khajiit companion. The one companion limit svcks though and would ruin it slightly.

it's either that way OR follow the in-game caravan's around. You could still get one of the Khajiit companion/followers. But the two of you follow the caravans around. RP that "you" are the only one alowed inside walled cities, so you are the only one that can trade there. The others have to wait outside... OR you can just be a guard. Do side quests dureing the time that the caravan is "in" a particular town area. Perhaps... tie it in with TG and do those quests as you get to each town with the caravan... make doing the TG last alot longer.

Their are ways to tie being a caravan guard together with a RP in the vanilla game, you just have to "think outside the box".

Actually I think being a TG member and a caravan guard at the same time would be kinda fun. ( dang it I will NOT start another character right now  )

About the fork: http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Fork_%28weapon%29#Fork

Yeah, maybe you want to play more seriously than this. My game as a Chef would be quite silly and inappropriate for a Dragonborn.

More layout than role play, but my latest is the most exciting so far for me.

A wood elf explorer playing on master with 100 heath, lots of stamina, no armor, and a one hit (restoration exploit) long bow. Skyrim is a very dangerous place! Most anything can easily kill me and I get chills every time I hear something. "What was that?" "Where is it?" :D

How to be a pimp in Skyrim (Hearthfire improves it... sort of)-
1. Marry Camilla. Sven and Faendal like to 'visit her' sometimes.
2. Make a woman your steward.... if you have a hearthfire house.
3. get the pickpocket perk to remove clothing from NPCs.
4. pickpocket the clothing. leave the boots on the NPCs.
5. Every week collect 700 gold from Camilla.

Yes... I'm weird.

Roleplay a hermit that lives in the woods hunting animals for a living. Kill soldiers, bandits, or any other possible threats that intrude on -your- land, never visit cities, and never grab gold because it's dead weight for one that needs nobody else. Hunting Bow, Fur Armor, maybe a Steel or Orcish weapon of some sort. Maybe get a bit of alchemy in, so you don't run out of potions to help you along.
